Strategic Cropping land Information
Queensland Government announcement 31th of May 2011

The Queensland Government recognises that the state's best cropping land is an important resource for growing food and fibre, and supports economic growth for regional communities.
The state's best cropping land is currently subject to a range of competing land uses from agriculture, mining and urban development.
It is important to find a balance between our agricultural, resource and development industries and minimise land use conflicts by assessing potential impacts of development on strategic cropping land.....

New Laws - Resourses Companies

A resources company has a statutory obligation to:

• Consult or use reasonable endeavours to consult owners and occupiers about access, the way in which authorised activities are carried out and compensation.

• Avoid any reasonable interference with you or anyone else caring out a lawful activity.

• Comply with the mandatory provisions of the Land Access Code.

QDEX External User Access Request: Well Completion Reports

Landholders can get information off the DME web site once they have completed and lodged the attached access form.  (click here for form)  It's called QDEX and you are able to access well completion reports, see below example for how to do it. 

Instructions:
From the DME website www.dme.qld.gov.au there is a link on the left to QDEX. 
Click on that and you are presented with a login. 
(Login details will be available once you have lodged the form from above.)

Once you are logged in, click on Search up the top, then General Search. 
About halfway down the next page (fifth line) it asks for Well Names.  
Once you find one of interest, click on it, then you are presented with the contents of the report.

At the bottom of this page you can download a PDF of any reports lodged by the mining company. 

Note: for maps of test holes in your area, once you have the name of the particular well or wells, use the same website and go in to the Interactive Resource and Tenure Maps above the QDEX log in.
